My short story “A Space Between Doors” was published in this year’s edition of Syracuse literary journal Stone Canoe.

The story began as a draft called “House Work” loosely based on a break-in and other events that happened to someone I know. The details changed, and over successive drafts grew and then was cut shorter.

Stone Canoe editors suggested some further cuts, making the version published in their journal the most spare and punchy so far. I’m pleased with the results and honored to have it in their print edition.
