Music & Sound

I’ve always had a strong interest in music and sound that has constituted an obsession and side-pursuit. I’ve produced recorded music intermittently starting on a cassette four-track in adolescence, in what was largely an experimental practice or audio lab. After a long period of turning exclusively to writing and design as creative pursuits, in more recent years I’ve released electronic, musique concrète and synthwave material on SoundCloud under the EYE-80 moniker, while also branching into doing interstitial music for podcasts and short video documentaries. While at EdSource, I helped launch their podcasting operation which included editing initial episodes, setting up distribution, selecting music and recording it to go between segments. Please contact for inquiries about use of audio material, sound or music production work.

Soundtrack work

Some music I recorded for the EdSource mini-documentary Lost Days: Chronic Absenteeism in Rural California was used in the video (note: not all of the music in the movie is mine). I gathered the recordings into a micro-EP released on SoundCloud.
